Our tourist accommodations in the town of Lac-Mégantic are surrounded by magnificent territories to explore in all seasons. Whether it's downhill skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking or even snowmobiling, you'll find plenty to keep you entertained in the region.

Mont Ste-Cecile

Located 30 km, or about a 30-minute drive, from our lodgings.

New destination for ski touring and mountain biking! Finally, the playground of Mont Ste-Cécile is open to outdoor enthusiasts. This mountain is part of the Appalachian mountain range and features prominently in the region's slide show. The mountain has an altitude of 895m and a vertical drop of 420m, of which more than 275m is skiable. Several downhill corridors have been established, providing a playground of over 580 acres.

Station touristique de la Baie-des-sables 

The Baie-des-sables tourist resort offers a wide range of activities for the winter season. Trails are set up for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, alpine hiking and even tubing. What's more, the bay is transformed into a fishing village, with colorful cabins lining the lake.

Ski Eldorado

Located 56 km, or about a 45-minute drive, from our lodgings.

Ski Eldorado was created by Eastern Townships ski enthusiasts. This site showcases the skiing potential of the border mountains, which generally receive large quantities of snow. The site is part of the FQME (Fédération québécoise de la montagne et de l'escalade).

Ski Eldorado offers two sectors, Rang 10 and Saint-Paul.

Snowmobile trails

Discover the mountain landscapes of the Appalachians by snowmobile. The Trans-Québec 65 trail is close to our tourist lodgings and lets you explore the territory from Lac-Mégantic to the U.S. border, via the head of Lac Mégantic and Lac aux araignées. The region is also covered by the 580 regional trail and a few local trails for exploring the surrounding area.

Mont-Adstock

Mont-Adstock tourist resort located 80 km, or about 1 hour's drive, from our lodgings.

This mountain has a vertical drop of 335 meters, 42 ski trails and 6 backcountry ski trails. The view from the summit is magnificent and worth the detour. The alpine hiking area is located on the east side of the mountain, and can be accessed via the ski lift or a 2.3 km ascent trail.

Equipment rental is available on site, but in limited quantities.

Ski Mont Adstock


Mont Sugarloaf

Located 90 km, or about 1 hour's drive, from our homes.

This ski mountain requires crossing the Canada-US border, but is well worth the detour. At 1290 meters, it's the highest mountain in Maine and the surrounding area.
The mountain has recently developed new backcountry sectors, Burnt Mountain and Brackett Bassin. They call them Sidecountry. These sites have the same qualities as a "backcountry" site, but with patrollers in the area. You can ski up the mountain, or use their new Burnt Mountain Cat Skiing offer.

Sugarloaf Mountain also offers ski trails with lifts.
